One button is used to capture photo or video, the other changes camera modes, or puts a marker in a video's timeline to make it easier to find a specific part of the footage when it comes to the edit. The two buttons are situated on the back of the controller, just about where your right index finger reaches. On the outside of the clam are two final buttons and a scroll-wheel. Landing is a piece of cake too, with one button needing a tap, situated below the power button. But there are other factors to consider and both drones and GoPro have specific situations where they shine and perform best. But particularly since the launch of the Hero5 Black, GoPros are more than just the best action cameras you can buy. The simple answer is that a GoPro seems to be the better option if you can only own one between a GoPro and a drone, as the GoPro is more portable and versatile. This avoids accidental take-off for safety. A few years ago, a GoPro vs DSLR vs mirrorless camera comparison might have seemed like an unfair argument to make. To get Karma to take-off, you need to press-and-hold the start/stop button for three seconds, then tap "auto take off" on the screen. Just below in the centre of the joysticks is the power button. I must admit, the idea of watching the world through the lens of a GoPro camera attached to a drone and transmitting to a pair of FPV goggles is challenging. However, there are some aspects I need to clarify first. It's very simple and very easy to use, almost like playing an old skool racing game. The answer is yes, with the right gimbal and drone, a GoPro camera can be used for FPV. The same applies for steering: push the right joystick left and the drone moves left, push it up and the drone moves forward, push right and it moves right, while pushing down moves it backwards. Push the left joystick up and the Karma goes higher, push it down and it drops lower. Under the screen there are two joysticks for controlling the Karma: the left is for altitude, of which the maximum is 4500-metres the right is for steering.
